Day 1

San José - First Costa Rican stopover

The adventure begins in San José, the vibrant Costa Rican capital where modernity and history meet. On arrival, a private transfer takes travelers to their hotel. Depending on the time, they can stroll the lively streets, visit the National Theater, explore the typical markets or discover the museums dedicated to history and pre-Columbian art. A first immersion before diving into the country's natural wonders.
An early departure for a unique expedition toward the Caribbean coast. After a land journey and a boat crossing through a maze of jungle-lined canals, arrival at Tortuguero National Park marks the start of total immersion in nature. This protected sanctuary shelters exceptional biodiversity: sloths, toucans, howler monkeys and caimans inhabit this swampy forest. Between sunrise boat rides, a visit to a typical village and the discovery of the beaches where sea turtles come to nest, these two days offer a rare connection with an intact ecosystem.

Days 2-3

Tortuguero – The jungle between land and water

Day 4

Sarapiquí – The tropical experience

Back on the road after picking up the rental car. Direction Sarapiquí, a region rich in rainforest, rivers and cacao plantations. This territory is a paradise for nature and adventure lovers. You can observe wildlife in a biological reserve, visit farming cooperatives or test your adrenaline rafting down the Sarapiquí river. Here, the tropical environment reveals all its splendor and diversity, between cultural encounters and nature experiences.
On to the impressive Arenal volcano, an emblematic figure of Costa Rica. This region is an ideal playground for hiking and exploration enthusiasts. The trails cross old lava flows and lush forests, leading to spectacular viewpoints over the volcano's perfect cone. Between walks on the hanging bridges, dips in natural thermal waters, and excursions to the magnificent La Fortuna waterfall, these two days combine adventure and relaxation in a spectacular setting where nature reigns supreme.

Days 5 - 6

Arenal – Volcanoes and hot springs

Days 7 - 8

Monteverde - Between mist and biodiversity

A change of scenery with a crossing to the misty heights of Monteverde, one of the country's best-preserved cloud forest reserves. Known for its mystical climate and exceptional biodiversity, this region is ideal for birdwatching, including the legendary resplendent quetzal. Travelers can venture onto hanging bridges at the top of the canopy, explore trails winding between century-old trees, or try a zipline through the mist. A journey into a world where nature asserts itself with majesty and mystery.
After the mountains, on to the Pacific coast and the charming village of Samara. This former fishing port has become a peaceful haven with a bohemian atmosphere and incomparable gentle living. The palm-lined golden beaches invite relaxation, but also water activities: swimming in a calm sea, learning to surf, boat trips to watch dolphins and sea turtles. Samara is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the moment, lulled by the sound of the waves.

Days 9-10

Samara - seaside relaxation

Days 11-12

San José - Final Moments Central Americans

After one last morning by the ocean, it's time to head back to San José. On arrival, return the car and enjoy a final evening in the capital to savor Costa Rican cuisine one last time or shop for souvenirs.
