Day 1
San José - First immersion in the Pura Vida !
On arrival in San José, a private transfer takes travelers to their hotel. Costa Rica's vibrant capital, San José offers a first glimpse of local culture with its lively markets, fascinating museums and buzzing atmosphere. Depending on arrival time, you can stroll the historic quarter, visit the National Theater or simply soak up the city's energy before the big departure toward the country's lush nature.
Early in the morning, departure toward the Caribbean coast through varied landscapes before boarding a canoe to navigate the Tortuguero canals. This isolated village, reachable only by water, is nestled in the heart of an exuberant jungle and shelters one of the country's richest ecosystems. Visiting the national park lets you explore preserved nature where it's not rare to spot howler monkeys, caimans, toucans and sea turtles depending on the season.
