What level, when to go, with or without a guide?

Most trails are accessible to anyone in decent shape. For Corcovado and Chirripó, plan preparation and booking in advance. The dry season (December-April) makes walking easier; the green season makes the forest more beautiful but the trails more slippery. Practical advice before you go
